What is acoustics?
Acoustics represents the properties of a room, determining how sound is transmitted and its quality. The goal of acoustic performance is to reduce the reverberation time, which is the time it takes the sound to drop to 60 dB.
In a room with good acoustics, there is no reflection of sound. This means that the sound is either absorbed by the materials in the space, attenuated by materials with low sound reflection or diffused by irregular materials.
Good acoustics is important because it improves sound comprehension, reduces fatigue and increases productivity. The most efficient solution is to use sound absorbing materials, such as PET-Felt, as well as create areas for meetings.
